Abstract
Cycloaddition reaction of the perfluorovinyl ethers (I) with butadiene (II) produces the cyclobutane derivatives (III) as a mixture of stereoisomers.

Cycloaddition reaction of the perfluorovinyl ethers (I) with butadiene (II) produces the cyclobutane derivatives (III) as a mixture of stereoisomers. In the absence of (II), (Ib) or (Ic) dimerize, yielding the cyclobutanes (IVb) and (IVc).
