Abstract

The dimethyl dicarboxylates (VI) are prepared by palladium-catalyzed coupling of the terminal alkynes (IV), derived from (I), with the dicarboxylate (V).

The dimethyl dicarboxylates (VI) are prepared by palladium-catalyzed coupling of the terminal alkynes (IV), derived from (I), with the dicarboxylate (V). A similar procedure leads to the diethyl dicarboxylates (VII). The dicarboxylates are of interest as ligands in metal complexones.
