Abstract
Reaction of the bis(mercaptomethyl)benzene (I) with the antimony(III) halides (II) gives the benzodithiastibepins (III).

Reaction of the bis(mercaptomethyl)benzene (I) with the antimony(III) halides (II) gives the benzodithiastibepins (III). Further treatment of (IIIa) with (IIa) leads to the formation of the spirocyclic stiborane (IV).
