Abstract
Trifluoroacetamidine (I) is oxidatively brominated to produce the bromo(trifluoromethyl)aziridine (II) which is converted to the fluoride (III).

Trifluoroacetamidine (I) is oxidatively brominated to produce the bromo(trifluoromethyl)aziridine (II) which is converted to the fluoride (III). Thermolysis of (III) in the presence of tetramethylethene (IV) yields the cyclopropane (V).
