Abstract

In the course of investigations of the suitability of various chlorinating transportation agents for the chemical transport of the oxoniobates of zinc and cadmium mm3-sized crystals of CdNb2O6 and of monoclinic (Zn,Nb)12O29 are obtained for the first time by deposition from the vapor phase.

ChemInform Abstract

In the course of investigations of the suitability of various chlorinating transportation agents for the chemical transport of the oxoniobates of zinc and cadmium mm3-sized crystals of CdNb2O6 and of monoclinic (Zn,Nb)12O29 are obtained for the first time by deposition from the vapor phase. The transportation rate for ZnNb2O6 are found to be higher by using Cl2 and NbCl5/Cl2 than by using HCl. The enthalpy values for ZnNb2O6 and CdNb2O6 can be estimated by a comparison of calculated (EPCBN) and experimental transport rates.
