Abstract

Hydrochlorination of the 1,2-alkadienephosphinic acids (I) in polar solvents gives the oxaphospholenes (II).

ChemInform Abstract

Hydrochlorination of the 1,2-alkadienephosphinic acids (I) in polar solvents gives the oxaphospholenes (II). In nonpolar solvents, however, the cyclization products (II) are formed, together with the chloroalkenephosphinic acids (III). (Yields only partly given).
