ChemInform Abstract

Condensing dry hydrogen chloride or hydrogen bromide into a ethereal solution of (I) yields the boronium salts (II). Hydrogen fluoride and (I) produce the difluoroborane dimethylamine complex (III). Reaction of bis(trifluoromethyl)dimethylaminoborane (IV) with water or hydrogen halides gives the borane dimethylamine complexes (V).
