Abstract

Friedel-Crafts acylation of the (cyclic) phenol ethers (I) gives the ketones (III).

ChemInform Abstract

Friedel-Crafts acylation of the (cyclic) phenol ethers (I) gives the ketones (III). The Mannich bases (VI) are prepared from the acetyl compounds (IIIa) - (IIIf) (R3: -Me). Some of the compounds synthesized have antiphlogistic activity but low toxicity.
