ChemInform Abstract: Synthesis of 1,2,4-Triazoles and 4-Amino-1,2,4-δ2-triazolines from Azines and Nitrilimines.

Abstract
The reactions between the azines (I) and the nitrilimines (II), bearing electron-withdrawing substituents, yield the 1,2,4-Δ2-triazolines (III), whereas the aldazines (IV), on reaction with the diarylazines (V), give the 1,2,4-triazoles (VI).

The reactions between the azines (I) and the nitrilimines (II), bearing electron-withdrawing substituents, yield the 1,2,4-Δ2-triazolines (III), whereas the aldazines (IV), on reaction with the diarylazines (V), give the 1,2,4-triazoles (VI). Finally, the aldazine (IVa) is found to react with the nitrilimines (IIa) to give the 1,2,4-Δ2-triazolines (VII).
