ChemInform Abstract: Reaction of Acidic Methylenebisphosphonites with Carbonyl Compounds.
Abstract
The methylenebisphosphonite (Ia) reacts with the carbonyl compounds (II) in the presence of CsF to give the methylenebisphosphinates (III).
ChemInform Abstract
The methylenebisphosphonite (Ia) reacts with the carbonyl compounds (II) in the presence of CsF to give the methylenebisphosphinates (III). The compounds (III) (R2: -H) rearrange on heating to form the methylenebisphosphonates (IV). The analogous reaction of (Ib) with paraformaldehyde directly leads to the formation of the bisphosphonate (V). The oxadiphospholanes (VII) and the phosphorylmethanephosphonates (VIII) are obtained from (II) and the trialkyl bisphosphonites (VI) depending on the catalyst used. On treating (VII) with sulfur, the compounds (IX) are prepared.
