Abstract

The Grignard compound (I) is coupled with the E-styryl ketones (II), producing the saturated ketones (III).

ChemInform Abstract

The Grignard compound (I) is coupled with the E-styryl ketones (II), producing the saturated ketones (III). These are converted to the α-phenylselenenyl ketones (V) which undergo dehydroselenenylation without previous purification, forming E/Z-mixtures of the racemic α-enones (VI).
