Abstract
Treatment with halogens of the lithiated derivative obtained from the oxazine (I) yields the 4-halo derivatives (II).

Treatment with halogens of the lithiated derivative obtained from the oxazine (I) yields the 4-halo derivatives (II). Whereas (IIa) reacts according to A) to give the product (III), (IIb) affords the 4-fluoro derivative (IV). These results lead to an investigation of the oxazines (V) which give the 4-fluoro derivatives (VI). The latter are useful precursors for the preparation of the α-fluorovinyl ketones (VII).
