Abstract

The hydroxy(propenyl)acetophenone (I) is transformed into the dihydrobenzopyranyl ethanolamines (VI) as shown in the reaction scheme.

ChemInform Abstract

The hydroxy(propenyl)acetophenone (I) is transformed into the dihydrobenzopyranyl ethanolamines (VI) as shown in the reaction scheme. These and the dihydrobenzopyrans (VII) and (VIII) also synthesized are tested for cardiovascular effects in anesthetized dogs. The hydroxynitroxyamines (VI) possess strong hypotensive and positive chronotropic activities.
