The title complexes have been prepared as shown in the scheme.

The title complexes have been prepared as shown in the scheme. The compounds are characterized by 14N-, 27Al-, and 1H-NMR, and IR spectroscopy as well as by cyclic voltammetry. (VII) is suggested to have a square bipyramidal configuration with THF in the sixth position to form an octahedral structure.
