ChemInform Abstract: Novel Eight-Membered Heterocycles. Synthesis of Dithiazolo-(4,5-d:5′,4′-g)(1,3)diazocine Derivatives.

ChemInform Abstract

The cyanoimidothiocarbonates (I) react with 1,3-dichloroacetone (II) to produce the bis(thiazolyl)ketones (IV) which are reduced to form (V). Cyclization in the presence of carbon disulfide yields the diazocinethiones (VI) which are converted to the methyl thioenolates (VII) and the amino derivatives (IX). The compounds (V) also react with the orthoester (X), producing the derivatives (IX). (IR-, NMR-data).
