A novel method for the preparation of the title compounds (III) is described.

A novel method for the preparation of the title compounds (III) is described. The optimum conditions as regards the yields are studied in detail, taking the formation of (IIIa) as an example. The molar ratio recommended for the choice of the reagents - (I), (II) and NaOH - is 1:1-2:2-5.
