Abstract
The title complexes (III) and (IV) have been prepared as shown in the scheme.

The title complexes (III) and (IV) have been prepared as shown in the scheme. The structures of these complexes are discussed on the basis of their IR, EPR and electronic spectra. It is suggested that the polymeric chain structure of (III) transforms during vacuum thermolysis into a layered structure, terminal Cl atoms connecting the chains.
