Abstract

The germanium dibromide-dioxane complex (IVb), which can be obtained from the corresponding germanium tetrahalide (I), the dioxane (II) and the siloxane (III) like the chloro compound (IVa), reacts with the organic bromides (V) to produce the tribromogermanes (VI).

ChemInform Abstract

The germanium dibromide-dioxane complex (IVb), which can be obtained from the corresponding germanium tetrahalide (I), the dioxane (II) and the siloxane (III) like the chloro compound (IVa), reacts with the organic bromides (V) to produce the tribromogermanes (VI). A mixture of the two isomeric compounds (VIII) and (IX) is obtained from propargyl bromide (VII) and (IVb). (IR-, 1H-, 13C-, 29Si-NMR-data).
