ChemInform Abstract: Synthesis of Phenoxy Derivatives of Methanediphosphonic Acid.

First published: November 4, 1986

Abstract

The title compounds (III), (IV), and (V) are prepared as shown by the Michaelis-Arbusov reaction of iodomethane phosphonic acid esters (I) with phosphorus acid ester (II) or by the reaction of methane diphosphonic acid tetrachloride (VI) with sodium phenolate.

ChemInform Abstract

The title compounds (III), (IV), and (V) are prepared as shown by the Michaelis-Arbusov reaction of iodomethane phosphonic acid esters (I) with phosphorus acid ester (II) or by the reaction of methane diphosphonic acid tetrachloride (VI) with sodium phenolate. The products obtained are characterized by ′H, ′3C, and 31P NMR spectroscopy. Only few products are isolable, sometimes only mixtures of products are obtained.
