Abstract
Reaction of SOCI; with the corresponding amino or aziridine" alcohols yields title compounds whose isomers are separated and identified as products (I)-(VII).

Reaction of SOCI; with the corresponding amino or aziridine" alcohols yields title compounds whose isomers are separated and identified as products (I)-(VII). The structures of (I) (space group: P21/c; Z=8) and (II) (space group: P21/c; Z=4) are investigated by X-ray analysis. The above results suggest that the bicyclic compounds (VIII) with known configuration at the C-atoms have the sulfinyl group in exo-position.
