Abstract
The title hexapeptide (IX) is assembled by stepwise synthesis in solution (conventional methods) Starting from the units (IV) and (V) in an overall yield of 44%.

The title hexapeptide (IX) is assembled by stepwise synthesis in solution (conventional methods) Starting from the units (IV) and (V) in an overall yield of 44%. The Arg derivative (IV), in turn, is prepared with an improved yield by a novel one-pot procedure. - The synthetic peptide (IX) is coupled to bovine serum albumin and used in direct immunization of rabbits.
