The desired compounds of type (V) and (X) are synthesized (yields only given for some examples) as described.

The desired compounds of type (V) and (X) are synthesized (yields only given for some examples) as described. Tests for their pharmacological activity reveal that most of them are CNS-depressors. The influence "of the side-chains on the activity is discussed.
