ChemInform Abstract: Infrared and Visible Luminescence Spectra of TcCl62- and TcBr62- in Cubic Crystals.

First published: September 2, 1986

Abstract

The luminescence spectra of the TcXä′ (X: Br, Cl) ions in cubic host crystals (K2PtCl6, M2SnX6, M: K, Rb, Cs) are very similar to those of the ReXä′ ion.

ChemInform Abstract

The luminescence spectra of the TcXä′ (X: Br, Cl) ions in cubic host crystals (K2PtCl6, M2SnX6, M: K, Rb, Cs) are very similar to those of the ReXä′ ion. The results indicate that the luminescence arises from the F7 component of the 2T2g excited state, although the two spin-orbit components are close together in these compounds.
