Abstract
Reaction of [TcC16]2′ with aqueous HBr followed by rapid precipitation of Cs2[SnC16] from the solution produces homogeneous solids which are luminescent under blue or UV excitation.

Reaction of [TcC16]2′ with aqueous HBr followed by rapid precipitation of Cs2[SnC16] from the solution produces homogeneous solids which are luminescent under blue or UV excitation. Selective excitation experiments (argon-ion laser) show th-e presence of nine stereoisomers of [TcCl,Br6-"]2′ (x = 0-6). Atrans effect in the Substitution reaction is not observed.
