Abstract
The title compound (III) is obtained by a double Coupling reaction of the annulene (I) with the diazonium salt (II).

The title compound (III) is obtained by a double Coupling reaction of the annulene (I) with the diazonium salt (II). The E/Z-structure of (III) is derived from its 1H NMR spectrum and is further elucidated by an X-ray analysis. Compound (III) crystallizes (with one molecule of CHCl3) in the space group P21/c; Z=4.
