Abstract

The stability constants of the complexes AgI, Ag6I82-, Ag5I72-, Ag4I62-, Ag2I42-, AgI2-, and AgI32- have been determined by spectrophotometric and potentiometric measurements over a wide concentration range at temp. between 21 and 25°C and systematic Computer evaluation of the results.

ChemInform Abstract

The stability constants of the complexes AgI, Ag6I82-, Ag5I72-, Ag4I62-, Ag2I42-, AgI2-, and AgI32- have been determined by spectrophotometric and potentiometric measurements over a wide concentration range at temp. between 21 and 25°C and systematic Computer evaluation of the results. From the IR spectrum it is concluded, that in a white solid Complex with the composition CdAg6I8·8 DMSO (precipitated from a solution of 0.36 M CdI2 + 2.13 M AgI + 8 cm3 DMSO) the DMSO is coordinated through oxygen.
