ChemInform Abstract: Superconductivity of A-15 Nb3Ge Prepared by Chemical Vapour Deposition (CVD).

First published: March 4, 1986

Abstract

Nearly stoichiometric Nb3Ge has the highest superconducting transition temp. (Tc = 23.6) known, but Nb3Ge phases obtained under equilibrium conditions have low TC values.

ChemInform Abstract

Nearly stoichiometric Nb3Ge has the highest superconducting transition temp. (Tc = 23.6) known, but Nb3Ge phases obtained under equilibrium conditions have low TC values. The superconductivity of A-15 Nb3Ge deposited by the CVD method (NbCl5 - GeCl4- H2 system) is investigated and the relationship between the composition (or the defekt structure) of the deposit and Tc is described.
