Gut zu sehen: Ein Diagnosesystem zum schnellen Pathogennachweis auf der Grundlage der Acetylcholinesterase- katalysierten Hydrolyse bringt es dank Signalverstärkungsstrategien auf eine vergleichbare Empfindlichkeit wie PCR-Methoden. Das Ergebnis des Assays zeigt sich in einer Farbänderung der Lösung und ist leicht mit dem bloßen Auge erkennbar.
