Photochemie: Mehrere Gold(III)-Komplexe mit Fluoren-haltigen Liganden sind stark phosphoreszent (Emissionsquantenausbeuten 58 %) und weisen langlebige angeregte Zustände mit Lebensdauern von 305 μs auf. Die Komplexe dienen als Sensibilisatoren für die Energieaufkonversion von 9,10-Diphenylanthracen (DPA; siehe Bild) und zeigen Zweiphotonenabsorption (TPA; TTA=Triplett-Triplett-Auslöschung).
