Abstract

Behaviorism stems from the early work of J.B. Watson and I.P. Pavlov. Modern radical behaviorism was established by B.F. Skinner and exists today as a thriving discipline known as behavior analysis. This entry tracks the historical influences on behaviorism and describes the modern day status of the field.
