Summary

During the past two decades, transcatheter edge-to-edge repair (TEER) techniques have steadily grown as the percutaneous method of choice and have revolutionized the treatment of mitral regurgitation (MR). With expanding indications, the MitraClip device is now used to treat patients with degenerative and functional MR. With the availability of newer-generation devices and refined techniques, the treatment of complex mitral valve lesions is possible. This chapter reviews the most important aspects of the TEER techniques for treating complex degenerative and functional anatomies.
