Summary

Pancreatic tumours are a commonly encountered problem. The most common tumour is pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma, which has a poor overall prognosis. The aetiology, presentation, assessment and management of this cancer is described. The chapter also reviews other rarer pancreatic tumours, including neuroendocrine tumours. It ends with a review of cystic tumours of the pancreas, including intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasia, which is increasingly incidentally encountered on abdominal imaging performed for other indications.
