This chapter discusses the conceptual issues in the assessment of child and adolescent narcissism. Three self-report inventories of youth narcissism and initial evidence on their correlates are presented. Narcissism appears relevant for social and behavioral functioning prior to adulthood, but further investigation of the most appropriate assessment approach is needed.
