Abstract

This contribution reports on the solubility of a single weak acid gas (carbon dioxide and hydrogen sulfide) in aqueous solutions containing a single strong electrolyte (acetic acid, sodium acetate or ammonium acetate). New experimental results are correlated with a modified Pitzer model for the Gibbs excess energy of aqueous electrolyte solutions.
