Vielseitig, einfach, mild: Allenylindium-Intermediate, die aus Indium und Propargylbromiden gebildet werden, dienten bei Pd-katalysierten Kreuzkupplungen als wirksame Kupplungspartner für eine Reihe von Elektrophilen. Hierbei entstehen Allene, Polyallene und unsymmetrische Bis(allene) in ausgezeichneten Ausbeuten und mit sehr hoher Regio- und Chemoselektivität (für ein Beispiel siehe Schema).

- 9The ratio of propargylindium to allenylindium is 1:6.5 in [D7]DMF at 25 °C. 1H NMR (400 MHz, [D7]DMF, 25 °C, TMS) spectrum of the allenylindium reagent shows signals at δ=4.24 (d, J=7.13 Hz, 2 H) and 4.94 ppm (t, J=7.11 Hz, 1 H). 13C NMR (100 MHz, [D7]DMF, 25 °C) spectrum of the allenylindium reagent shows signals at δ=210.15, 71.80, 61.44.
