Abstract

Ein Strukturmodell des O2-generierenden Zentrums vom Photosystem II stellt der Komplex 1 dar. Die beiden Ruthenium-Hydroxo-Einheiten der Verbindung spielen eine wichtige Rolle bei der Oxidation von Wasser zu O2. Nach Abscheidung des Komplexes auf einer Indium-/Zinnoxid-Elektrode konnten 15.0 mL O2 (Umsatzzahl 6730) bei der unter Spannungskontrolle (+1.7 V) durchgeführten Elektrolyse von Wasser erzeugt werden.
